Labor MP Matt Thistlethwaite has told Sky News he believes the medevac legislation is “working as intended” despite revelations that fewer than one in 10 asylum seekers transported to Australian shores has actually required hospital treatment.

Without details hard to comment, but quite possible proper quality of care in community has made hospital admission inappropriate/unnecessary. Medical condition likely quite serious.
