No plans for new doctors to undergo mandatory family medicine courses

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and RUMC officials in George Town, Penang, today.

He said an uptake of doctors pursuing postgraduate courses in family medicine is also needed before the government can impose such requirements on new doctors. Hisham was responding to a question if Malaysia would follow Ireland in making it mandatory for new doctors to take up specialisation courses after their internships.
