GEORGE TOWN: It was a bright Sunday morning and the right time for some 15,000 health enthusiasts to burn some calories as they hit the roads along Gurney Drive and the Tanjong Tokong area for the Penang Starwalk 2019.

Organised by Star Media Group, the participants, all armed in their best walking gear, zoomed off once the Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas flagged off the event yesterday.

Another participant, Aryssa Nadya Mulhaf, 15, who suffers from a neurological condition, turned up in a wheelchair with her sister Yasmin Kamelia Mulhaf, 23. Also present at the event were Star Media Group chief executive officer Andreas Vogiatzakis, Star Media Group client brand marketing general manager Simone Liong, who is also Penang Starwalk 2019 chairman, Star Media Group news editor Alex Teng, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Wing K Lee, Hunza Properties Sdn Bhd executive director Fong Yin Sian, Tenaga Nasional Bhd Penang Retail Division head U.
