A new Japanese study suggests that regularly eating mushrooms could help lower a man’s risk of prostate cancer.

More mushrooms often appeared to bring even bigger benefits, with those who consumed mushrooms three or more times a week showing a 17% lower risk. “Test-tube studies and studies conducted on living organisms have shown that mushrooms have the potential to prevent prostate cancer,” said lead researcher Dr Zhang Shu.
