JOHOR BARU: The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Service (Cuepacs) wants the government to build a health clinic at the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) and Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB).

Its president Datuk Azih Muda said this was because of the poor ventilation system at the two CIQs which was causing breathing difficulties among officers based there.

“We hope the government can include this as part of the development project in the coming budget for next year, ” he said when met by reporters after a dialogue session with workers at the BSI CIQ building here on Thursday . “To make matters worse, the CIQs are also not equipped with many CCTVs, leaving a loophole in few areas aside from the lack of medical equipment, ” he said.
