He said two surveys, namely the Global School Based Student Health Survey 2012 and Adolescent Health Survey 2017, found that the prevalence of smokers aged between 13 and 17 increased from 11.5 per cent to 13.8 per cent. He cited an example, the Young Doctor Programme for 2018, which reached 85 per cent of its implementation, and is a testament of the success of education and health promotion activities among pre-school children.
