More than 60 members of the United States Army, the Philippine Coast Guard, and local government health workers jointly conducted a basic medical and dental knowledge expertise exchanges in one of the underserved communities in the province of Palawan.

US and Philippine service members conduct a medical and dental knowledge expertise exchange in Bataraza, Palawan.

PCG Palawa Dental Officer Lt. Marvin Balan said the status of oral health in the municipality of Bataraza was in a state of neglect with only one dentist serving 86,000 residents. For their part, US Army Staff Sgt. Brandon Gonzalez conveyed their commitment to be working with the PCG and the Bataraza Regional Health Unit in addressing an important issue as health education and prevention.
