The Trump administration is re-opening immigration cases for people in the United States seeking medical treatment after previously denying those applications without warning, saying they had to leave the U.S. in little more than a month.

“While limiting USCIS’ role in deferred action is appropriate, USCIS will complete the caseload that was pending on August 7,” the announcement said on Monday.

ABC News previously reported that starting on Aug. 7, some non-citizens who had pending immigration cases were sent letters from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services informing them that they had 33 days to leave the country. ABC News spoke last week with 14-year-old Serena Badia, who is undergoing treatment in the U.S. for a severe heart condition. Her mother, Conchita Badia, said Tuesday the family is “somewhat more relieved” by the news but is still worried about what the government might do next.

“It is a temporary retreat in an attempt to minimize the extensive public image fiasco, but they have only delayed the trauma to these kids for when they need to renew,” Khanbabai told ABC News.

They need to return to their home country. If they don’t they will slip into society and disappear. They will get free food , housing, medical . We need to focus on Americans first, immigrants last

Trump administration acts before it thinks! Pathetic ! Trump has no idea as to what he is doing. What a joke!

where is the humanity

They got scared. You have to do right by the ppl always. We will never forget GOP realDonaldTrump

It would be nice if we could heal the world Health cost is too high. Obamacare made it higher. We flew a little girl to a hospital in Corpus Christi who's father crossed the border illegally. Then drove his father there

Watch what they do not want they say

See Trump will reconsider his stance in some cases when warranted

I'll bet Stephen Miller is just apoplectic over that policy change. Miller policy was to deport sick and dying children. They can't fight back.

🤬🤬🤬

Everyone knows Trump2020 is anti-immigrants

Why should we have to pay to keep an illegal alive? The answer is simple: scoop it up, send it back from whence it came. Problem solved.

Thank you MaddowBlog

Thanks maddow

The news reporting and the public outcry must continue at 100% effectiveness. The cowardly turd realDonaldTrump responds only to vehement shaming. ImpeachDonaldTrumpNOW

Why? Because the whole world thought it was heartless?

Problem here - immigrants will receive medical attention which require funds and high skilled labor. However it drains funds from the vulnerable American citizens. Will the immigrants help with people who helped them?

THIS IS INHUMANE!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Just to be clear: the Trump admin doesn’t get credit for anything here. Anyone saying “isn’t Trump great for letting them stay?” needs to have the shit slapped out of them.

Apresiasi

Trump must have had a lot of pressure from his admin. to have suddenly become humane and change his policy. Too bad other people in charge didn't see the necessity of administering treatment to those here in need.

Well. Think of it my fellow americans. They DO listen!

Please help me. Even 1$ will go a long way. My PayPal is in my profile. I need some kindness.
