Whenever one is injected with any drug, there is always a risk. It’s quite simple really. Usually the benefits outweigh the risk.

Recently read about this in SmithsonianMag .. Despite Benjamin Franklin being a proponent of the small pox inoculation in Colonial America, his four-year-old son Franky was never inoculated (possibly because of objections from Benjamin’s wife) and died of the disease.
