PETALING JAYA: Former Health Ministry deputy director-general Datuk Seri Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai died early Monday (Aug 19) morning.

Dr Jeyaindran, who served the ministry for 38 years, was said to have collapsed at his home in Kampung Datuk Keramat before being rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he died at about 2am Monday.

"Our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Our hearts go out to his family and friends in this time of sorrow.Dr Jeyaindran retired on May 13 last year as asenior consultant physician in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was personally attended to by Dr Jeyaindran on regular occasions while imprisoned in Sungai Buloh prison, also tweeted to expressed his condolences.Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak also took to Facebook to offer his condolences to the family.

Malaysian Medical Association president Dr N. Ganabaskaran said he was shocked on learning of Dr Jeyadrain's death.
