NEW YORK - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating a “cluster” of lung illnesses that it believes may be linked to e-cigarette use after such cases were reported in 14 states.

The CDC is working with health departments in Wisconsin, Illinois, California, Indiana and Minnesota on the investigation. Since June 28, states have reported 94 possible cases of severe lung illness tied to vaping, primarily among teenagers and young adults, according to a CDC statement on Saturday. Of those cases, 30 occurred in Wisconsin.

Other states, including New York and New Jersey, have also issued health advisories regarding vaping-linked lung illnesses.

The only surprise is what took so long.

Did the CDC ever figure out 'The Polio Like Illness'

'The CDC said there was no evidence that an infectious disease was behind the illnesses and that more information was needed to determine whether they were in fact caused by e-cigarette use.' Let me know when there's a scientific study.

Could this 'cluster' of illnesses be the results of having your lungs, in effect, seared by steam?

Before I quit cigarettes (ugh) I tried vaping. While I felt happier to be off cigarettes, I noticed my voice change — became waterlogged, like speaking under water. Oh, Hell no. Good to be off both.
