PETALING JAYA: Perak police today confirmed receiving the medical and forensic reports on an Indonesian maid who accused a Perak state executive councillor of raping her.

State police chief Razarudin Husain said the reports arrived this morning and were sent to the state prosecution director. “They will carry out further action. The papers will also be referred to the attorney-general,” he told FMT, adding that the police would await further instructions from the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

The maid had lodged a police report against Tronoh assemblyman Paul Yong, accusing him of raping her at his house in Meru, Perak.He has denied the allegation but said he is prepared to take temporary leave if the investigation into the allegation is prolonged.
