There are growing divisions among senior government ministers who remain undecided over a bill to decriminalise abortion in New South Wales.

The bill, if successful, will remove abortion from the state's Crimes Act and replace it with a stand-alone health care act.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced her support for the changes, while Treasurer Dominic Perrottet remains against them. State MPs will debate the bill in parliament on Tuesday.
