Cancer patient is first assisted death under contentious Aussie law

A CANCER patient has become the first person in more than two decades to die under a controversial assisted-dying law in Australia, said a charity. Kerry Robertson, 61, died last month, three months after the mother of two ceased treatment for metastatic breast cancer, said support group Go Gentle Australia yesterday.
