THE NHS has been criticised over plans to tell cancer patients they've got the disease via TEXT - in a bid to speed up treatment.
But critics have blasted the move as "insensitive" and warn it could lead to "disastrous delays" for older people who "aren't as tech-savvy". She had undergone a chest X-ray which was sent to two hospital departments and her GP, but they went unread. It said: "The notification would be sent within an agreed timeframe to ensure that the vast majority of patients would have received the information by a clinician.
