In its first case, the MDCN Tribunal convicted Doctors Godwin Maduakor and Sunday Abiodun Ogafe Ojenuwah for alleged gross negligence.
Tribunal Chairman Prof. Abba Waziri Hassan, who read the judgment, said Maduakor was suspended for six months for count one and three months for count two.Maduakor is among the nine Asaba, Delta State, medical doctors who are standing trial for alleged professional misconduct.The other doctors also on trial from Asaba Medical Centre, are: Oyefara Babatunde, Okoye Pascal Nnamdi, Anunnobi Chijioke Ralu, Adigba Ese Onodjohwoyovwe, Ogwu Robinson Onyekachukwu, Okoye Chukwuka and Iyiola Akeem Adewale.
The MDCN is the regulatory body of all medical and alternative medicine practitioners in the country.
