Deputy Kelantan MB dismisses need for inquest into death of Bateq tribespeople

THERE is no need for an inquest to determine the cause of death of 15 Orang Asli from the Bateq tribe in Kuala Koh, said Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah. He said this was because the relevant authorities, including the Health Ministry, Hazardous Material Unit and the Department of Environment had issued official statements on the matter.
