More than 120 people were seen waiting at one time to be treated while ambulances continued to queue. 9News

Paramedics in Western Australia have voiced their growing concerns about patient wait-times at the state’s hospitals, which they claim are so busy ambulances are forced to line up and wait to enter.

“It’s reasonable to say we have never been under this amount of pressure for many, many years and demand Is higher than it’s ever been,” St John Ambulance CEO Michelle Fyfe told 9News. The wait-times have blown out so much that at Perth’s major hospitals more than 400 hours of ambulance ramping was recorded in just three days last week.
