The Department of National Defense (DND) is set to procure eight units of mobile treatment units for soldiers who would be wounded in battle.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said the Readily Deployable Forward Treatment Units will also be helpful in the conduct of search and rescue missions in various types of disasters, particularly typhoons and earthquakes.

“The project aims to give immediate medical response, especially to military personnel and other casualties in the field during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response missions,” said Lorenzana.
