Listeria outbreak: Two more patients die after eating hospital sandwiches

Two more patients have died after eating hospital sandwiches containing listeria, taking the total to five.The deaths of two patients at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and one at Aintree Hospital has already been confirmed by an investigation into the outbreak.A further three have since been located as part of the investigation - with two of those fatal - bringing the total number of cases to nine and deaths to five.Have you been affected by this story? The supplier of the food was The Good Food Chain, who have 'voluntarily' ceased production while the investigation continues. The chain supplied 43 NHS trusts across the UK. This business and North Country Quality Foods who they distribute through, have also voluntarily ceased production.
