Men suffering mental health issues can be put off asking for helpProfessor Sarah Niblock, of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, told the Commons women and equalities committee of the 'stigma' and 'shame' many men feel about admitting they need help. You think? They should remove scenes from movies or TV shows that in the past made fun of mental illness. Continuing to air these scenes, perpetually promotes the thought that people who are bipolar or depressed, belong in a hospital getting a labotomy. well for me it's a no brainer to not seek help, if i did, i would be forced to leave my job, and would be forced to give up my hobby which eases the strain. so if men seek help, not only are we openly mocked for it, our livelihoods and our interests will be ruined also.
