The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is set to conduct an investigation against officials of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and other medical facilities suspected of making bogus medical claims.

NBI presents Bryan Sy, Liezel Aileen De Leon, and Edwin Roberto in connection with ghost dialysis scandal of PhilHealth and WellMed.

NBI spokesman Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin said the Bureau will investigate “all the entities claiming refunds or reimbursements from PhilHealth.”‘Ghost dialysis’ blamed on corruption at Philhealth Among the 10 respondents, three were arrested and presented for inquest before the Department of Justice in Manila.

The other respondents in the complaint are officials and employees of WellMed, namely, Sy’s father Claro Sy; Sy’s wife Therese Francesca Tan-Sy; Dr. John Ray Gonzales; Alvin Sy; Dick Ong; Dr. Porsha Natividad; and Dr. Joemie Soriano.
