Doctors diagnosed Michael Ogalirolo with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2011 and while Mr Ogalirolo is in remission, he says his future is still uncertain.
This is the first Australian case to link cancer with the product, though Monsanto has been forced to pay billions in compensation for similar lawsuits in the US. Agribusiness Monsanto, which was purchased last year by German-based Bayer, has been accused of not disclosing the carcinogenic impact of its top-selling herbicide.
