KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad visited Ainul Mardhiah, the toddler with a germ cell tumour in the mouth in a hospital in London .

He visited the toddler and her parents on Saturday morning while on the way to Heathrow Airport to return to Malaysia after a working visit to London, he said in a post on the Health Ministry's Facebook page.

Ainul Mardhiah and her parents Ahmad Safiuddin Ahmad Razak, 24, and Nurul Erwani Zaidi, 24, arrived early Saturday morning in London to seek treatment for the rare type of cancer, he said. "I was made to understand that adik Ainul Mardhiah, who is eight-months-old has suffered from a germ cell tumour since she was born. Insya’Allah, let's pray for the best outcome," he said in the post on the ministry's Facebook on Saturday .

During his working visit, Dzulkefly had visited the National Health Service and the King's College Hospital in London.
