Six children in total were taken to hospital this morning after police sealed off a street near Hartley Brook Primary School in the Shiregreen area of the city, with ambulance services also at the scene.A large number of police and ambulance vehicles were at the scene and an air ambulance landed nearby earlier today.Residents living near Gregg House Road said they saw two injured children being taken out of a home in bandages and put into ambulances.

Another man said: "I was on the bus and had to get off before it turned onto Gregg House Road because there was a police car blocking it. So I walked towards school and could see police cars ambulances and it was all blocked off and we had to walk the long way around.“As I was walking away I could hear sirens for a long time either going to scene or away.
