When Colby Wallace thinks about the suicide statistics, especially those focused around young people, he can't help but get upset. That's why he's trying to do something about it.

"Be the change you want to see," Wallace told CNN affiliate KCPQ.Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the state of Washington for people 10 to 24 years old, according to the Washington State Department of Health. It's the third leading cause of death nationally.A new study shows suicide rates in girls are rising, especially for people 10 to 14 years old.
