On May 9, Singapore had confirmed an imported case of monkeypox infection involving a 38-year-old Nigerian attending a workshop in the republic.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a statement today, said it was false news and insisted no monkeypox infection had been detected in the country.“The health ministry once again reiterates that no incidence of monkeypox case has been detected or reported in Malaysia.
