Milat was admitted to a special annex within the hospital, fitted out for the treatment of prisoners with reinforced block walls and steel-lined ceilings.
He was jailed in 1996 and is serving seven life sentences for the brutal murders of seven backpackers.Milat's condition is not currently life threatening, and he is expected to return in a matter of days to the Goulburn prison, which has recently received significant funding for an upgrade.
According to the plan, eligible inmates will in future be rehabilitated there and eventually moved to lower security settings within the facility.
Amazing what a caring and humane people we are when we offer treatment to this man
Should have just been hung long ago. They don't have enough money to hire more staff or build more hospitals but naturally this filth has to be taken care of.
The only operation he should be receiving is removing his heart

How much money is going to spent on a person who has gone into organ failure? is that really what medicine is about? He is on his end of a life journey. Let him go & save us from this supposedly news worthy story.
It would be a shame if he died on the operating table?
Lobotomy
Maybe the surgeon could set up a go fund me page to cover the malpractice charge? I'm sure it would easily cover the costs and set him up for life volunteering to work on worthy patients. ifonlythebaddiedyoung abcnews auspol ivanmilat
Very secret.
I really don’t think I need to know this.
Her wouldn’t it be terrible if he dropped dead! Scum of the earth!
Not secret. Just his business. Nobody else needs to know.
Decapitation ? The only secret operation this bastard deserves !
So a criminals self inflicted condition and we are spending tens of thousands of taxpayers $ to save him, so that he could consume more taxpayer’s $ in prison?! I have no words for my anger.
Meanwhile
He is a monster no doubt, but how is this in the public interest? Come on ABC, you're not SkyNews.
I don't see Peter Dutton complaining about this murderer getting medical treatment. So why did the liberals fight so hard to stop refugees in offshore detention having access to medical treatment? it's like refugees are not human to them
Is he laying on a trolley in the hallways while they find him a bed?
Glad I'm not his surgeon. Would be difficult to uphold the Hippocratic oath
