The supermarket's new Beautiful Everyday Kefir drink can help lower cholesterol, blood sugar and boost gut health

Aldi is now selling a health-boosting drink which is much cheaper than the Marks and Spencer equivalent. The budget supermarket is now selling a large, kefir drink for £1.99, in two flavours - natural and mixed berries. Customers can grab a 750ml bottle of Beautiful Everyday Kefir in stores for five times less - and £8 difference - than the M&S's equivalent. It's also 36% cheaper - or £1.38 less - than Yeo Valley Kefir .

Kefir is also packed with live bacteria and yeast, which are usually managed by your immune system to ward off infections. Speaking about the health benefits of Kefir, health expert Suzie Sawyer said: 'Kefir naturally provides live cultures, produced during the all-important fermentation process.
