The heartbroken family of a 12-year-old girl with cancer are appealing for help to make her final wish come true - meet her idol Lana Del Rey.
Heartbreakingly, in October that same year she relapsed, which was when the family were dealt the devastating blow that the cancer had spread to Laila's lungs. Leila has since continued to try and live life to the fullest as she aims to make as many memories with her loved ones as possible despite her diagnosis.The 12-year-old is desperate is to meet her idol, musician Lana Del Rey, and her family is hoping the power of social media will help Laila's dream become a reality.
Laila's auntie, Stacey Edwards, told Leeds Live: "Laila is very bubbly, she gets on with everyone, she's just a lovely girl. It's been a huge shock for us as a family, you hear about these things and you never think it will happen to your family, you can't help but think why Leila, it's so unfair.
