Two Temple teens died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash in Gonzales. On June 29, Taylour Maddison Pechal, 18, and Krisna Soto, 18, were driving northbound in a gray Ford Escape around 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle veered into southbound traffic, a Waco TV station reported. The KWTX-TV report said a police investigation revealed that Pechal struck the rear driver’s side of a white Mazda CX5.

San Antonio man was paralyzed in a shootout with police. Now, he’s going to prison. The driver and passenger in the Dodge Ram were taken to the local hospital in Gonzales, where they were treated and released. Police said it is still “undetermined” as to why the Ford Escape driven by Pechal, veered into oncoming traffic. GoFundMe fundraisers have been set up to help the teens’ families.
