After deferring difficult decisions for years, Canada’s health-care system is at a major tipping point. With our aging population and increasing chronic disease prevalence, it will get worse. The 2023 Federal-Provincial Territorial Health Accord provides up to $46-billion over the next 10 years for provinces and territories with digital modernization as a core focus. Strategies and solutions needed to address our health-care challenges are available today, and deployed in many jurisdictions.

Embrace new care models We need to continue to create new care models that evolve from a physician-first-and-only mindset. These new care models provide flexibility and autonomy for health professionals, and improve care co-ordination across providers and enable better health outcomes.
