Updated: Jul. 03, 2024, 3:06 a.m.A New Jersey native developed testicular cancer as a teenager, a result of being overly exposed to harmful, man-made chemicals for over two decades, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday.
Ridgewood Water allegedly knew levels over New Jersey limits existed in its system since 2017, the lawsuit alleges. The water supplier is working to rid itself of the chemicals by 2026, according to its website. “They are the responsible parties, not Ridgewood Water or our customers, who are currently bearing the costs to clean up the contamination we didn’t create,” Kazmark said.
