With the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, the State Fire Marshal's Fire Prevention Bureau is making sure star-spangled safety yet waves o'er the Buckeye State this Fourth of July.

Officials said so far in 2024, 10 incidents involving fireworks have caused nearly $10,000 in damages. Additionally, since 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said more than 10,000 injuries were related to fireworks, many of which were to bystanders including children.s which allow 1.4G consumer fireworks to be let off on certain days throughout the year unless otherwise prohibited by local laws. Community members may use fireworks from 4-11 p.m. on July 3-7 this year.
