Laura Baird, from Specsavers in Wishaw, raised the fantastic amount for the Beatson Cancer Charity by completing the Edinburgh half marathon.

A store director at Specsavers in Wishaw has teamed up with a good friend to raise more than £2,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity by competing in the Edinburgh half marathon back in May.

“We had never run a marathon before, but with 12 weeks of careful training and even an additional 5K race, we felt ready for the big day – even the poor weather wasn’t enough to dampen our spirits.
