Janine Renshaw-Beauchamp says she has always painted the front door of her listed home in the Cotswolds in bright colours.

Cotswold District Council wrote to Janine Renshaw-Beauchamp asking her to change the colour of her door

She argues she has lived in the house, in Gloucester street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, for 33 years and has always had a brightly coloured door. Janine said she was dismayed when she received the letter on April 15 that said: ‘It is deemed that the colour applied to the door is causing harm to the conservation area and the door itself, as both are considered to be designated heritage assets.‘We request that the colour of the door is changed to a more suitable colour in keeping with the surrounding area.

Let her keep it, pink is the colour used in ribbons to help fight cancer. I think it's very poignant to her right now, not hurting anyone is it?

it's a sad story which had a happy ending but it's not like the council knew she had cancer and deliberately did it to be nasty.
