The group in a press conference held at the residence of the former Governor of the state Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa on Saturday said the party is on the path of destruction as a result of misguided statement of the state PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo .
The leader of the group and former gubernatorial aspirant of the party in the state professor Hamzat Muhammad Maishanu while reading a text at a the press conference said the group are rejuvenating the PDP to takeover power from APC come 2027 governorship election .chairman Alhaji Bello Goronyo at stakeholders meeting held st the party Secretariat on the second of June this year.”
” The party chairman in his adress to the meeting alleged thstvsome members of the oattybhad been contracted to destroy tge party.” “Such statement will undoubtedly sowvseeds of destruction in the party , we however sought for concent of the chairman for further clarification and to buttress the veracity of his allegations.”
The group asked the state PDP chairman to name those contracted to destroy the party, How much was paid to them, where the contract was signed , and who gave the contract . “We want democracy to thrive in the party , We will not accept appointments or crowning of party leaders to satisfy primordial and selfish intetsts, ” Let the party members choose their leaders from Ward level to the state leadership” .
