Sven-Goran Eriksson has disclosed the heartwarming details of Manchester United legend David Beckham's visit to his Bjorkefors farm, bringing along "six litres of wine" from significant dates in Eriksson's life.
The Swedish former football manager, who conveyed in January his diagnosis with terminal cancer and the possibility of having just one year left to live, expressed admiration over Beckham's thoughtful gesture during a weekend interview on Radio Sweden's P4 Varmland.
Speaking fondly of the former England captain's authenticity, Eriksson said: "He had wine from 1948 the year I was born, very nice of him.
