The UK is 'out of step' with countries where teenagers are warned of the dangers of nicotine addiction from vaping, experts say.

According to PHE's 2018 data, 15.9% of children aged 11 to 18 reported having tried vaping - a rise from 8.1% in 2014.

"We are hugely out of step with the rest of world," he said, pointing to a drive in the US to warn teenagers of the dangers of nicotine addiction. Dr Scott said:"We don't know what the long-term data is but we have shown that it's cytotoxic and it's pro-inflammatory, just like cigarette smoke is over the short-term.
