The Israeli military said the action was “in violation of orders and standard operating procedures” and would be investigated. It said the man was transferred to the Red Crescent for treatment.

A cloud of smoke billows during an Israeli army raid in Jenin in the occupied West Bank on June 6. The Israeli military said it was investigating an incident in which a wounded Palestinian man was strapped to an Israeli military jeep while forces carried out"counterterrorism operations" in Jenin on Saturday.

In the video — apparently shot from a nearby window — a man can be seen tied to the hood of an Israeli military jeep as it drives down a dusty road. The man is moving while he is tied. This incident comes amid a surge in violence in the West Bank since the war in Gaza began last October, after the Hamas-led attack in southern Israel, in which more than 1,200 people were killed and some 240 were taken hostage.
