In the early 2000s, Munjal Shah was a young entrepreneur with a quintessential dot-com dream: to build a cloud-based e-commerce platform for online sellers. His startup Andale provided software tools for merchants on eBay and Amazon to manage their businesses. After a successful exit when Andale was acquired, Munjal Shah struck gold again with like.com, a visual search engine that let shoppers hunt for clothing and accessories online using images instead of text.
Immersing himself in academic studies of endocrinology and the biological systems underlying health, Shah gained new clarity that his true calling was to help others avoid the sort of health challenges he’d confronted.
