Two-month old infant dies on Air Asia flight between Kuala Lumpur and Perth.

Australian media is reporting that a baby has died on an Air Asia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Perth this morning.

a two-month old infant dies on air asia flight. it’s our flight. delayed since 6.50 am this morning. we are patiently waiting. #airasia #perth pic.twitter.com/T9Kq34YZmdEmergency calls were made to St. John Ambulance at 5am, ahead of the flight’s 5:35am landing, and while paramedics battled to save the infant’s life, their efforts were unsuccessful.

“The safety and well-being of our guests is always our number one priority, and in accordance with procedure, the flight crew requested medical assistance on landing at Perth International Airport,” a spokesman for the airline said. “We are unable to comment further on the infants’ medical situation; however, our thoughts are with the infant and family involved.”
