Kate makes first public appearance since cancer diagnosis at Trooping the Colour

Kate Middleton has made a return to public life, after arriving at Buckingham Palace to attend the Trooping the Colour.

Amid her on-going cancer battle, it was unclear whether Princess Kate would attend the formal occasion. The 42-year old delighted millions when it was confirmed that she would join her children in a state carriage down The Mall for the big family moment. Back in March, the princess revealed in a poignant video she had been diagnosed with cancer. In her latest address, published on Twitter, she added: "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."
