Race Across the World star Betty Mukherjee broke down in tears on Loose Women as she admitted the travel contest had helped her to feel "free" for the first time over her health condition.
As she explained to James for the first time how the condition had affected her emotionally, he cried at her bravery and had to ask the cameraman for a hug. Explaining why she had never spoken openly with her brother about her health before, she said that James was just 11 when she was diagnosed and added: "Your little brother doesn't need to know about that when he's little."
Denise Welch squeezed Betty's hand and passed her a tissue, with James opening up on his own thoughts about the Race Across the World scene.
