UT Health San Antonio is building $100 million tower that will focus on research in cancer, aging, brain disease, diabetes and obesity.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is preparing to build a $100 million science tower in the South Texas Medical Center to house research on cancer, aging, brain disease, diabetes and obesity. Crews are expected to break ground by the end of September on the Northwest Side campus for the five-story, 95,000-square-foot building to be called Science One. It’s expected to be completed in August 2026.
