The children at St Brigid’s Primary signed up to do a number of activities from football to dance to raise money for the charity.
They raised an incredible £2,340 of their own, bringing the grand total handed over to the Stroke Association to a fantastic £4,540. Veronica was transferred to University Hospital Wishaw, where she was put on a clinical trial and spent 10 weeks undergoing intensive physiotherapy. Marjory Murphy, Principal Teacher at St Brigid’s, said: “Veronica is an amazing woman. Although retired she still remains a huge part of our school family and is also loved by so many in the Newmains community.
