Disney baby names are one way to add a little magic to your child's name, Disney-inspired baby names are as popular as the classic films, according to BeenVerified. The search database pinpointed the top 10 Disney names from movies over the past four decades. Popularity of the name Merida from the film “Brave” increased by 1,150%, even though relatively few people used the name.

“Raya has staying power because it fits in nicely with current trends toward two-syllable feminine names like Isla and Mila. Plus, it resembles Maya, which is already firmly entrenched in the U.S.” Suzanne says the name Elsa “gained momentum” starting in the early 2000s, alongside other vintage names. “It resembled Ella and Emma and other names growing at the time, so it was poised for popularity, in my opinion, just as ‘Frozen’ was released,” she says.
