PETALING JAYA: Sunway Medical Centre (SMC), Sunway City, the flagship quaternary hospital under the Sunway Healthcare Group, retained its top spot for paediatrics in Malaysia in the Best Specialised Hospitals Asia Pacific Newsweek 2024 rankings.

PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission has set July 6 as polling day for the Sungai Bakap state by-election in Penang, and June 22 for nominations.

“Sungai Bakap has 39,279 voters, consisting of 39,222 regular voters and 57 police officers,” he said. The nomination process and official vote tallying centre will be at the Jawi Multipurpose Hall in Taman Desa Jawi, Penang. The Nibong Tebal PAS chief secured 15,433 votes in the August 2023 state election, defeating Pakatan Harapan’s Nurhidayah Che Rose by a 1,563-vote majority.

He added that the teams would comprise police personnel as well as representatives from the local authority and contesting candidates.
