As part of her allergy treatment, she had a 504 Plan on file with the school which detailed what school employees should do if Cole had an allergic reaction.

The family of an 11-year-old girl who died two days after having an allergic reaction at a Texas school filed a lawsuit against Amarillo ISD.

The lawsuit said the plan required school employees to administer epinephrine, call 911 and notify Cole's parents. According to the lawsuit, the school gave her Benadryl, which she threw up, and a breathing treatment.
