FrasierHarry Replace 'a rasher of bacon' with 'one carrot' and hear the meat eaters bray

FrasierHarry This is exactly why sci-fi author NEAL ASHER can shove his callous bacon jokes up his own arse.

FrasierHarry Fake Food

EddieTheGent78 Exactly but not something Government will be telling people, that or the reality of abattoirs in the UK, just making out everything is safe and well? theresa_may

Take heed and avoid red and processed meats.....

A single amount of anything ALWAYS raises some risk of something. Heck, no amount of anything does the same too! People die. Face it, accept it, live with it.

True that!

First the wind turbines and now rashers? I can't take anymore! 😂

zwergie1 If you keep your body mostly in ph mode lots of fruits, vegetables and raw salads, a small amount of beef won’t hurt you, in fact animal protein is required for muscles. But guess what, your not going to get out of the life, alive.

I’m still going to eat it.

Quite a statement. Doesn't concern me. In France, the only way for me to get bacon is to wait for Lidl to randomly cycle their 'American' food range until they have 'Honey Smoked streaky bacon'. So now, I. Waiting for the Spanish range to bigger off...

Processed meats which have been broken down & have had substances applied for preservation or taste are different to meats straight from the animal. Similarly, we have no idea what chemicals are ingested from commercially grown vegetables, especially those eaten raw.

It’s worth the risk.

Who decided this was newsworthy lol thanks for stating the obvious

Getting in a plane with a member of Parliament, increase your chances of having your money stolen or your child touched up...Ture.

Getting in a car, increase your chances of crash.... Don't eat anything or go out

Cods

Another one to watch out for, everything in moderation is my motto! 😉

Life kills.

JustSayNo NotEvenOnce RebelWithoutaRasher

I don't care. Give me my morning bacon, sausages with beans and three slices of toast

Bullshit. With the amount of money cancer has received you'd think there'd be a cure by now.

Come on ,surely not. I'm not ardent meat eater. But our ancestors eat meat veg.

Breathing oxygen increases the risk of death. What a load of headline grabbing sensationalism shouldntthisbeinthesun?

Meat eaters Hate begin when a notice like this is posted.🙋Keep cool! Eating meat everyday is one choice just as any other one & everybody will die at the end anyways...The point here is how much pain you want to endure or cause to your love ones, during your last days? 💞😉💞

This is of course total crap! Yes if you eat nothing but bacon or meat you may well develop cancer but who does? most of us have more in our diet like cereals, vegetables, legumes, pulses etc. Nobody I know eats meat exclusively. This is a ploy by Vegan nut jobs!

Reading articles in the guardian may leed to brain cell reduction.

I'll take death over no bacon anyday.

Luxinho77

Too late for me then, might as well carry on 😂

and beans make you fart

Orwell__ 🥺

The traditional English breakfast is truly delicious. There, I said it. More brown sauce!

Being born increases the risk of cancer.

animal_leaks Everyone: oh well, we're going to die anyway!

animal_leaks Giving meat up is one of the best things to do in life. For yourself, animals and the environment.

Going outside increases my chances of death in some capacity. Get a grip Guardian!

Well, we gotta die someday

Stop reporting these studies. It hurts your credibility.

From 40 people per 10,000 to 48 people. Relative vs absolute risk is the important bit

Couldn't give a shit.

I'll take my chances. Thanx, anyway.

I won't be surprised, considering the fact that even the air we breathe and the water we drink are spiked with carcinogens...

The evidence has been there for years, based on research & science, not 'vegan propaganda' as some claim. It seems a lot of people don't give a crap about the animals, the environment or their own health, and are hell bent on being a burden on the NHS bacon redmeat Cancer

So does every breath we take, I don't see you asking us to stop breathing...

No. Just no.

'The risk increased by 20% with each extra slice of ham or rasher of bacon (roughly 25g) the study participants ate, and by 19% with each thick slice of roast beef or the edible part of a lamb cutlet (about 50g).' Increases what risk by 20% or 19% though?

People who eat anything will eventually die....honest!!

I'd eat more if I could afford it !

Only if you smoke it 🐷

Mmmm delicious cancer!

More lies by our government, total bullshit

🤔😒

It’s even worse for the pig!

Study done by Porky the pig

Considering that the longer you live, the higher the odds are that you'll get cancer, everything that keeps you alive increases the risk of cancer.

Me right now

These studies confirm something we already knew

This is total bullshit

AmyRemeikis 🤦🏼‍♀️

WHY WONT YOU LET US LIVE?!

So did every living minute

Headline doesn't seem to be supported by the airticle contents ?

lol

Come on guys, what doesn’t? Live a little.

The study acknowledges that individuals tend to exaggerate their consumption. So if the risks found are not significant. How do we know the moderate significance was not caused by these possible self reporting errors?

It’s worth it.

What if you eat it instead of smoking it ?

Why don't you just come out with it and say 'Labour will tax red meat'.

So what you saying is dont eat bacon ?

...by a teeny-tiny amount you click-baity bastards.

Can we have the absolute risks please? Without them this is just sensationalism.

Who were the researchers, members of Vegans International?

Fucking worth it.

everything done in life is a risk-- so what? stop contributing to paranoia

LMAO

The vegan conspirators roll on

Isnt it time the find easier, cheaper , quicker ways of curing cancer so people won’t have to worry about it? 😬😋

And a couple of slices of wholemeal bread cancels that risk, it's called a bason sarnie. Death is inevitable.

Why can’t you give us the actual figures? How can people make a proper judgement on percentages if there is no context. For example if 1 in 5000 people will get bowel cancer and the risk is increased by 20% then 1 in about 4200 will get it. It’s not a significant increase.

We live in an age of bad food being passed off as good food, and people eating more convenience and fast food than ever. We're turning in middle America in other words and in ten years time there's going to be an army of blubber-whales going to the supermarket.

is a cancer! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Living longer also increases your chances but if the world is going to be full of miserable vegans bring it on. I dig swine.

Stick it on the bill with every other single thing that we all enjoy and get told not to

They can take away our fags...., they can take away our booze...... but they can never take our BACON🐷🐽🐖🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓

Just being alive increases the chances of getting cancer

Rowan Atkinson as the devil: Yes, I'm afraid the Jews were right.

I take the bacon ! Marinated w Whiskey & Coke and then i shall have a 🚬 yet i am twice your age 😀

Reading this article increases the risk of cancer.

From 6% to 7%. I’ll take that risk

More bollocks. Just how did they work out how many chips, buns, fizzy sugary drinks gets consumed with every burger. Crap data crap results. I wouldn't eat bacon though. Also most cheap meats are from animals fed on grain that have lots of nasty groth hormones fed to them too.

Yet more anti-meat propaganda by the veggie and vegan groups

Is the Guardian now the paper that divides all the things in the world between things that cause cancer and things that cure cancer?

I bet a vegan wrote this

Living increases your risk of dying.

Worth it!

Breathing in London increases your risk. I think I will keep doing that.

Is someone still not over that Ed Milliband photo?

Bacon does not equal all red meat... 🤔🤔🤔

well, I guess I'll die...

BUt EvERYhiTng gIvEs you CAnceR

Bacon Egg n Chips was a staple diet of the 60s/70s for most working class folk...why are we still alive ? Boffins where are you ?

Let’s learn from the tests and trials and medicine! No one wants cancer if such can be avoided!

So what about the millions of Europeans that eat processed meat daily and live in to their 90s? Next thing breathing will cause cancer 😒

Eat and be happy. Enjoy yourselves.

Well, I’m still gonna eat it

It’s not red it’s pink 🐽 it’s the tomatoes you can’t trust, you mark my words, they look shifty to me

And here come the 'Yay! I'm stupid!' comments.

*random thing from the 99% of everything we are perpetually exposed to throughout the entirety of our lives* increases the risk of cancer. Wow, journalism is easy!

Buy Natural Nitrate Free Bacon, if you have to eat meat

going out in the sun also increases the risk of cancer. What is it with everyone simplifying things beyond the point where they make any sense at all? 😒

Even half a slice?

Don’t care bacon is worth it

Every single second you live increases the risk of cancer.

fakenews

literally everything causes cancer, fucking living does. So ima eat all the ribs and bacon I find, and if i die a few years sooner, ima do it with a full belly
